Who we are...

We are volunteer representatives from human services, family members, people in recovery, counselors, treatment providers, recovery coaches, housing advocates, community organizations, coalitions and people who want to achieve long term recovery.

What we do...

We are promoting our recovery videos as a means to help people better understand recovery. In the coming months we hope to develop a recovery guide to help people achieve long-term health and stability

We want individuals and families to have healthy and productive lifestyles, and enjoy the benefits of a life free of substance use and mental health disorders.

Why we do what we do

The majority of financial resources are dedicated to stabilization and treatment, also known as "acute care services." These services don't last long enough for people to gain a foot hold in recovery. The NSRC wants to change that dynamic by supporting and promoting the understanding that substance use and mental health disorders are chronic diseases and need to be treated like all other chronic diseases.
